Madison Craig is having a season to remember at Foothill High. The senior guard broke the school record for career points on Jan. 3 when she surpassed Lindsey Jones' record of 1,332 points. Craig continues to have impressive games throughout the month. Last Tuesday's game against Monte Vista High was an example when Craig poured in 18 points and added four assists.

Her coach, Terri McMorrow, said Craig is a quiet but fierce competitor who performs best under pressure. “Madison’s ability to score and create on offense is part of what makes her unique as a player," McMorrow said. "We are proud of her accomplishment and know that all she wants to do on the court is help her team be successful."

Boys Spotlight Player of the Week

Amadi Udenyi is having one big game after another as De La Salle High has built a 16-2 record this season. On Saturday, the senior guard knocked down 27 points and added four assists in the Spartans' victory over Lincoln High. Udenyi scored 19 points the night before in De La Salle's win over Foothill High.

His coach, Frank Allocco Sr., said many of Udenyi's points come in crucial situations. "Amadi has the knack of knocking down the huge three when it's needed most," said Allocco. "His defense is as good as I've ever seen at this level."
