"The Onion" Tackles John Madden

The news satire media group takes aim at the Pleasanton local for some chuckles

Well-known Pleasanton local, RV owner, sports commentator John Madden, enjoyed a roast or we should say, bus in a recent "article" in The Onion. The Onion is a American news satire organization which writes articles for entertainment.

The article depicts Madden joking about eating his 45-foot-long luxury bus in the humorous piece.

Patch can't help but wonder if this was uncontrollable craving was triggered right after Madden's favorite place for lunch,

Madden was the head coach for the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s. He is an author and spokesperson in addition to being a sports commentator. Madden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Madden is also well known for his fear of flying and has not flown since 1979. That is one of the reasons Madden owns the custom buses often seen in Tri-Valley.
