Tri-Valley Babe Ruth 13 Year Old All-Star Team Wins the Northern California All Star Tournament

The team will advance to Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Tournament.

The Tri-Valley Babe Ruth 13 Year Old All-Star team won the Northern California Babe Ruth All Star tournament in Woodland, CA last week.  Tri-Valley went 4 – 0 defeating East Sacramento, Oakland and Bel-Mateo twice, and outscored their opponents 35 – 8.

James Cowick pitched a no hitter in the championship game defeating Bel-Mateo 6 - 1.  Cowick also pitched in the opening game against East Sacramento, which Tri-Valley won 6 - 2.  Joshua Ott and Darroch Koel also pitched gems in the games against Oakland, 12 – 2, and Bel-Mateo, 11 – 3, respectively.  Saiki Roy, Koel and Dante Albanese provided the offensive punch for Tri-Valley. Jack Morgan, Jack Fryer, Sean Venezia, Ryan Bowman, Roy, Koel and Cowick turned in defensive gems for Tri-Valley.

By winning the Northern California Babe Ruth All Star tournament in Woodland, Tri-Valley advances to the Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Tournament in Surprise, Arizona starting July 30th.

The Tri-Valley team is made up of players from Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore. Included is a photo of the Tri-Valley Ruth 13 Year Old All-Star Team in a corn field in Woodland “Field of Dreams”.
