Big birthdays deserve a big celebration and the Alameda County Fair is going big with a parade down Main Street in Pleasanton this Saturday to celebrate 100 years in town.
The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. and will run through downtown Pleasanton.
In addition to the Grand Marshall, Morrie Turner, 70 community groups have entered to walk in the parade including the Alameda County Blue Star Moms, District Attorney Nancy O'Malley, Alameda County Sheriff's Mounted Posse, Dance 10 Studio, and California's Great America Characters.
Expect the quintessential parade experience with parade mainstays such as marching bands, floats, equestrians and Shriners clowns.
Patch will have exclusive Alameda County Fair coverage every day. Check Patch daily for events, concert information and maybe even a few surprises.
