  • Between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Pleasanton Farmers' market is open and can be found at Main street and W. Angela Street.
  • Check for local garage sales here.
  • Sexual Abuse Prevention Community Forum at the YMCA located at 6693 Sierra Lane in Dublin. This is a resource for parents in preventing and talking to their kids about sexual abuse. 9 a.m. 
  • ALVISO ADOBE WINTER FAIRE. Alviso Adobe Community Park. Ages 5 to 12. 11 a.m.            
  • James Garner A Cash Country Christmas. Firehouse Arts Center, Pleasanton. A fun, toe-tapping trip down memory lane honoring Johnny Cash's life and his longtime backing band, the Tennessee Three...a Holiday treat the whole family can enjoy. 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • The Nutcracker. Bankhead Theater, Livermore. 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Niles Canyon Train of Lights. Brightly decorated holiday train, covered with thousands of lights, winds through Niles Canyon on 75-minute round-trip ride from Niles to Sunol and back. Departs 4:30 p.m. from Niles; 7:30 p.m. from Sunol. Tickets required.
Sunday, Dec. 22
  • Double Road Race Pleasanton 10K+5K. Pleasanton. New sport of Double Road Racing. 
  • Niles Canyon Train of Lights. Brightly decorated holiday train, covered with thousands of lights, winds through Niles Canyon on 75-minute round-trip ride from Niles to Sunol and back. Departs 4:30 p.m. from Niles; 7:30 p.m. from Sunol. Tickets required.
