<p>Henry P. Mohr Elementary School, one of the newest elementary schools to be built in the City of Pleasanton, first opened in 1997. The school was named after one of the most important historical figures in the development of the city. </p> <p>The school's mascot is the eagle, and it's motto is "Soar at Mohr." Though just more than a decade old, the school was given the recognitions of a California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon School. </p> <p>The school's principal is Robin Sehrt. It is located in the northeastern part of Pleasanton. The school is one of the most culturally diverse schools in Pleasanton with 22 languages listed as the primary language among it's students. </p> <p>Mohr's active Parent Teacher Association was first established in 1997 and now has 480 members. Aside from volunteering in the school, members also raise funds for school programs and equipment and plan various activities for it's students. </p>
