Village High School was established in 1978 for students who struggled in Pleasanton's other comprehensive high…More schools. Students here may have had academic and disciplinary issues. The school has around 200 students, which allows for smaller class sizes. Character education and technology usage in learning is key at this school. </p> <p>One of it's more well-known programs is Culinary Arts Career Pathway, which allows students to run and contribute to a catering business. The school has been recognized as a "Model Continuation High School" several times by the state. Funds from Measure B, which voters passed in 1997, helped to build a new and renovated facility. </p> <p>The school is located on the Pleasanton Unified School District site. The principal is Greg Giglio.</p>

It offers classes designed for students 18 years and older, with subjects including English as a second language, career technical education, parent education, adult high school diploma (GED) programs, health and safety, computers and personal enrichment. The organization's goal is to provide lifelong educational opportunities and personal enrichment for community members. A special focus is given to offering free classes to adults 55 years and older. A course schedule and brochure is printed twice a year, and information and registration are also available online. Classes are held at various school campuses and senior citizen facilities in Pleasanton, including Village High School (4645 Bernal Ave., also the location of the Amador Valley Adult and Community Education offices).
