Hi I'm a local artist, born in Oakland and raised in Pleasanton, now living in Livermore, CA. Specializing in miniature oil paintings and portraits (miniature and full size) my charming landscapes, still lifes and portraits are done in a very traditional, realist style. I have superb use of color and light make each piece glow. The precisely detailed compositions, some no larger than a postage stamp, call out to the viewer to step nearer and explore them more closely, to feel the moment. My has found it's way into collections around the world. Miniature collectors are my biggest fans because I paint in the popular dollhouse scale 1/12 (one inch equals a foot) and they fit just right in their fine miniature collections. Painting for more than thirty years now, I have mastered my technique and continue to seek new challenges. I am an IGMA Fellow (International Guild of Miniature Artisans). I am also an art instructor and I'm available for demonstrations and workshops. I have taught twice at the annual IGMA Guild School in Castine, Maine (2001 & 2003). I am very active in my local communty and run a figure drawing workshop every Fri. as well a being the Gallery Director for the Livermore Art Association Gallery.
