When I began my journalistic life, I never really expected to enjoy it so much. It began in Sophomore year when I needed an extra class to fill up my schedule. One of my friends reccomended journalism and I decided to take it up. I have to say, journalism has changed me for the better. Its opened me up to the important matters of the world and has helped me develop a perspective regarding how different cultures, people, practices and whatnot view certain things.

I love the arts. A lot. Especially classical music and photography. Classical music pretty much makes up most of my life. I enjoy playing piano and violin, whether it be in ensemble or solo setting. I've played in groups such as the Oakland Youth Orchestra and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Preparatory Chamber Orchestra(and was a soloist with it). I also compose for fun, though I'm not very experienced at it. Teaching piano and violin is another task I have decided to try out as I feel the need to help others realize the beauty of the arts.

My love for photography sprung from my joining of journalism. Like the class, I never expected to enjoy it so much. I just borrowed the DSLR one day and I got hooked. Ever since, I've been shooting anything that I feel like shooting: candids, portraits, birds, clouds, city scenes and more. If you're interested in my work, click here for a link to my Flickr page.

When I have freet time(which is rare), I enjoy taking bike rides, hiking, thinking about random questions that come to mind and walking through big cities like San Francisco.
