3 Power Outages Impacting 2,900 Customers, Several Traffic Signals Out

About 1,100 customers have power restored and 2,900 are still without power.

By Bay City News—

An outage has left thousands of PG&E customers in Pleasanton without power this morning.

The outage was reported at about 8:35 a.m. and initially affected slightly more than 4,000 customers, according to PG&E.

The utility posted on Twitter around 9:15 a.m. that about 1,100 of the affected customers have had their power restored, leaving roughly 2,900 without power.

Crews remained at the scene this morning attempting to restore power to the remaining customers. PG&E estimated that power will be completely restored by around noon.

The PG&E outage maps says the cause of the outages is not known and is still "awaiting assessment."

According to the Pleasanton Police Nixle alert system, the signal lights at several large intersections are out at the following locations:

  • Hopyard Road and Stoneridge Drive
  • Hopyard Road and Valley Trails
  • Valley Avenue and Koll Center
Police are asking that drivers treat the intersections as four-way stops until power is restored.
