Grand Opening of "Unearthing the Past" Exhibit on Saturday, June 8

Artifacts unearthed at Alviso Adobe Community Park by anthropology students from California State University East Bay go on display on Saturday, June 8. That's the grand opening date for "Unearthing the Past", an exhibit held in the Milking Barn at the Park. The exhibit is free to the public. It will reveal excavated artifacts including ceramics, metal, bone fragments, and even recovered historic litter in the "Garbage-ology" display. The grand opening runs from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. and also features an entertaining slide show and refreshments. Alviso Adobe Community Park operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The park is wheelchair accessible and parking is located in the lot near Old Foothill Road.
