Police Want You To 'Tip-A-Cop' at Strizzi's in Pleasanton

Law enforcement personnel will be raising money for Special Olympics Northern California on Nov. 22

By Autumn Johnson

Instead of carrying handcuffs, three volunteers from the Pleasanton Police Department, along with one Special Olympics Athlete, will be carrying trays, taking orders and raising money for Special Olympics.

The popular Tip-A-Cop fundraiser will be held Friday, Nov. 22 between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Strizzi's in downtown Pleasanton.

Three Strizzi's locations will be participating in the East Bay including Strizzi's in Fremont and Livermore.

Pleasanton Police Sergeant Pat Walsh says Pleasanton Police are hoping to raise the most money of the three stores. All of the tips raised during the fundraiser will benefit the 16,000 athletes of Special Olympics Northern California.
