Remembering the Life of JoAnn Koobatian
The services will be held on Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Valley Community Church
A memorial celebration for Foothill High School choir teacher JoAnn Koobatian will be held on Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Valley Community Church, located at 4455 Del Valle Parkway in Pleasanton.

According to the church website, the family is asking those attending to bring canned food items to donate. The website says, "These donations will be given by the family in remembrance of JoAnn and her service to the community of Pleasanton."
Koobatian, who died at the age of 47 after battling cancer, was a beloved Foothill High School choir teacher and was Teacher of the Year in 2011.
