7-Eleven Robbed Overnight

The masked suspect was caught on video climbing over the counter to take money out of the cash register.

Information provided by Pleasanton Police—

At about 0145 hours an unknown suspect, wearing a mask and gloves, entered the Valley Ave. 7-Eleven store through the front door when the lone employee entered the beverage cold room. The suspect tried to lock the employee in the room but was unsuccessful.

The suspect then climbed over the counter and forced the cash register open by hand and took a small amount of cash. The employee exited the cold room and approached the suspect as he was taking the cash, but did not engage him because he was afraid.

The suspect climbed back over the counter and fled on foot west along Valley Avenue.

Good quality in store video depicts the suspect as a Hispanic male, 5-6 to 5-7 feet tall and overweight, about 220 pounds. The suspect wore a black mask and gloves, a white T-shirt, tan shorts and white athletic shoes. No weapon was seen.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Pleasanton Police Department.
