Earthquake Rattles East Bay

Did you feel it? An earthquake with tentative magnitude of 3.0 struck Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tentative 3.0-magnitude earthquake centered in Tilden Park near Berkeley jolted the East Bay at 9:26 p.m. tonight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter of the temblor was located along the Hayward Fault at a depth of 7 kilometers in the western part of the park, 1.5 miles northeast of the UC Berkeley main campus, according to latitude and longitude coordinates provided by the USGS.

According to the site's "Did You Feel It" response section, one Livermore resident recorded feeling the quake.
