According to Lieutenant Jamie Scardina, Hopfe had been deceased for about two to three days when she was found by a hiker east of Olema near the intersection of Sir Francis Drake and Platform Bridge Rd.

Scardina says Hopfe's body did have injuries, although they were "not of a traumatic nature." The cause of Hopfe's death is not yet known.

"The autopsy is complete and we are awaiting the doctor's report," Scardina said.

Scardina added that police have no suspect information to release at this time.
Neither the police nor Hopfe's family, know why Hopfe was in Marin. In an interview with KTVU last night, Brook Hopfe said the family does not know why she would be in Marin.

Anyone with information about Hopfe can call 415-473-7265.
