Police Log: Busts of Visiting Heroin and Pot Dealers; Wallets Swiped from Gym Lockers

Three deaths recorded, and more from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.

Four members of 24 Hour Fitness on Willow Road last week had their wallets stolen from lockers, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

The thefts occurred from the men's lockers -- all locked -- at the work-out facility on the 4700 block of Willow Road, police said, adding the cases are under investigation.

Also last week, police arrested four suspected dealers of heroin and marijuana in two separate cases.

On Friday, a 28-year-old Oakland man was pulled over for traffic violations at about 5:30 p.m. after he was speeding and squealing his tires in a parking lot --  and then ran a red light -- near Lucky supermarket on West Las Positas Boulevard in the Dorman Road and Singletree Way area.

Inside the vehicle of the motorist, who was on a searchable probation, were 120 doses of heroin, police said. The man and his passenger, 20 and also from Oakland, were arrested, records state.

In a separate case Wednesday, officers recognized another probationer -- an Oakland female, 42, who was staying at Hyatt House on Chabot Drive, files said.

A search of her room unearthed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, plus marijuana packaged for sale, police said.

The female and her companion, a 47-year-old Berkeley man, were arrested.
