Police officials say the employee was told to give the suspect what he wanted and she would not be hurt.

Information provided by the Pleasanton Police Department--

At about 10:55 a.m. on Monday Pleasanton Police dispatch received a call from an employee at Public Storage, located at 2500 Santa Rita Rd. The employee reported they had just been robbed by a “homeless type” person. The suspect entered the business and told the employee to give him what he wanted and he would not hurt her.

The employee complied and surrendered her keys and wallet. The suspect left the business on foot and was last seen running toward the Iron Horse Trail to the rear of the business.  A check of the area was conducted but the suspect was not located.

During the robbery, no weapon was displayed.  The suspect was described as a white male adult in his twenties with blonde hair, 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 145 to 165 pounds. He was wearing a black “baggy” hooded sweatshirt and pants and had a hat pulled over his face like a beanie.
