8 Pleasanton Teachers Invited to Ellen DeGeneres Show

The teachers were honored by the Ellen crew. The show will be aired at a later date.

Eight hardworking teachers from Valley View Elementary, Hearst Elementary and Pleasanton Middle School in Pleasanton were recently invited to attend a taping of the Ellen DeGeneres television show as part of a teacher appreciation theme.

According to the Pleasanton Unified School District website, Lennis Sadler, Rosie Martinez Clark, Felicia Douwes, Amy Smith, Christie Carnahan, Michele Howell, Jenny Ebbers and Tamarra Farro all went to the show.

NBC reported that the teachers, who were nominated by Bay Area families, were given $2,000 apiece, along with gifts to take home and a spa day in Arizona.

The show will be aired at a later date on NBC.
