Amador Valley Baseball Shocks Granada, Advances to NCS Final
The Dons will face De La Salle in the final at St. Mary's College at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Amador Valley High knocked off No. 1 seed Granada High in the North Coast Section playoffs Wednesday and will now play for section championship against De La Salle at 4 p.m. at St. Mary's College in Moraga Saturday.
Amador's Nick Carney's hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and the Dons withstood a late Granada comeback to win 9-7.
It was the first time this season a team had scored more than four runs against Granada.
