According to the California Highway Patrol, there were 10 collisions near the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Francisco Street between the start of 2003 and the end of 2011.
While two of the accidents involved a car striking a pedestrian, none of the collisions resulted in a fatality.
A husband and wife were taken to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday night, after a driver hit them while they were crossing Santa Rita Road in the crosswalk.
Of the 10 collisions at Santa Rita Road and Francisco Street reported to the CHP by Pleasanton police between 2003 and 2011, half were the result of unsafe speed on the part of motorists.
