Pleasanton executive writes of her frustration over brazen, daytime theft, and more from Oct. 13 to 19.

A Pleasanton executive didn't leave her laptop in a taxi or at Starbucks. She left it Tuesday on her office desk -- and it was swiped within minutes by an unknown "office visitor" while she was down the hall.
